If your ears are thoroughly bleeding from listening to old-school politicians and their loyal jholeys screeching fake patriotism at maximum volume, we have found your sanctuary. It’s time to migrate across the river to the valley’s designated bubble of elite artistic expression. Apwoh Misa Marching On Vol. 2 is taking over Jhamsikhel to host a musical and cultural showcase that highlights the city's finest independent and alternative artists.
In a country where the only consistent "culture" over the last twenty-five years has been institutional plunder and rigged government contracts, this event offers a refreshing alternative. Instead of watching funds disappear into a cooperative scam, you actually get to watch independent artists manifest genuine creativity.
The Subversive Origin: "Too Much" for the System
This isn't just a gig; it’s the grand culmination of a five-year artistic riot. Created by poet and performer Ujjwala Maharjan, the production features musical performances by Sarada Dongol on percussion, Shanti Nepali on vocals and guitar, and Yaju Acharya on flute.
The performance marks the culmination of five years of artistic exploration under Maharjan’s feminist poetry and music project, Apwoh Misa. In the Newah language (Nepal Bhasa), ‘Apwoh Misa’ translates to “women who are too much”—a phrase often used to police women’s voices, bodies, and freedoms. And honestly? We love the energy. In a city where corrupt officials are praised for being "too much," it’s about time our artists claimed the title to prove exactly why being "too much" is just right.

Marching On (Away From the Chaos)
Moksh has long been the premier battleground for alternative sounds, making it the perfect venue to escape the national news cycle. Leave the political flags at home, gather your most intellectually intense friends, and head over to Jhamsikhel to support real creative icons who build cultural infrastructure instead of selling out national resources for personal kickbacks. Secure your entry early, because space in the courtyard is strictly limited, and political connections will absolutely not get you past the gate.
